RIM Grant
Each year, RIM supports VEX and FIRST® robotics teams by helping to defray the costs of the team's registration fees. The application window is typically open between September and early November each year. More information regarding funding levels and timing will be available as the new season approaches.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Only teams from Maine are eligible to apply.
- FIRST teams are eligible for the grant as rookies or veterans.
- Rookie teams are typically funded at a higher level than veteran teams.
- To remain eligible for a grant the following year, teams must complete RIM's end of season survey.
- VEX teams are only eligible to receive funding during their rookie year. This is due to the decreased cost of registering for a VEX competition as a veteran team.

NEW FOR 2019-2020!
For the 2019-2020 season, RIM is pleased to announce the following grants:
The Team Grants will be handled as in past years. In other words, they will be sent directly to your team, or to the competition organizer as requested by your team.
- VEX Robotics Rookie Team Grant: $1,500 per school / organization
- FIRST® Robotics Rookie Team Grant: $6,000 per school / organization
- FIRST Robotics Veteran Team Grant: $2,500 per school / organization
